Privacy & Ethical Guidelines

This Ethical Privacy Statement articulates the privacy and data protection principles followed by PetCity App(hereinafter referred to as “PetCity”) with regards to the personal information of its customers (including pets, pet-related service providers, pet rescuers, NGOs, veterinarians, and other services clients), partners, suppliers, vendors, employees (current or former employees, trainees), applicants, contractors, prospects and vendors, whose personal information are processed by PetCity (“Data Subjects”).

This Privacy Statement explains the use and protection of personal information collected by PetCity. It applies to any personal information you provide to PetCity and, subject to local law, any personal information we collect from other sources.

Throughout this Privacy Statement, “PetCity” refers to PetCity App (also referred to as “we”, “us”, or “our”).

Objective

PetCity was created with the aim to bring pet parents and lovers across the globe together on a single platform. We hope that through our mobile application you can connect with and befriend pet parents/lovers – as well as find the perfect friends/mates for your loved pets!

Messaging/Chats:

Messages/chatting posted by PetCity community members are solely the opinion and responsibility of the person posting the message. All users posting to the PetCity Community must read this Community Posting Policy. Posting to the Community constitutes your agreement to the terms outlined in this Community Policy Guidelines.

While we’re the first to admit we’re not perfect, we strive to be impartial and conduct ourselves in the fairest manner as possible for all. In order to provide you with a safe and positive experience in our community, we will review profiles and the content posted by them. By following the “Policies and Guidelines,” you help to ensure that the PetCity Community remains an enjoyable environment for everyone. Violating these rules may result in your removal from both the Community and other PetCity services.

The following are the Policies and Guidelines and apply to “public” threads, private messages, visitor messages on user profiles, social groups, and any other form of communication within PetCity Community:

1. Remember the Golden Rule – Treat others as you’d want to be treated Misunderstandings in online communities are quite common, often times because of the difficulty understanding the tone implied in other user’s remarks. In fact, quite often something you may interpret as being harshly worded or rude may just be someone else’s form of offering you support. Take extra care to be kind in your comments to other users and never react negatively to comments you perceive as rude or otherwise objectionable.

Instead, it’s always wiser to end the discussion, ignore the comment entirely, or in more severe cases report the offense to our moderators by sending emails to PetCity admin

2. Breeders and illegal activities plying to animals are STRICTLY prohibited.

        If any profile is seen to violate the following regulations, it will be disabled immediately. Rules apply as per Indian law:

• Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (Regulation of Livestock Markets). Rules, 2017
• Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. Aquarium and Fish Tank Animals Shop) Rules, 2017
•  Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Care and Maintenance of Case Property Animals).Rules, 2017

Any and all pet-related/pet businesses that want to establish relationships with PetCity will be vet for the same.

3. Do not use abusive or disrespectful behaviour.

        Disagreements or conflict may arise in the course of discussion. Please remember to be courteous when disagreeing with others. Debate on differing opinions is appropriate. Personal attacks against other users, however, are not allowed.

The following behaviours are examples of what will not be tolerated in the PetCity

Community.

• Messages that are designed to personally berate or insult another user.
• Any communication that is derogatory or inflammatory attempting to bait users into responding.
• Personal attacks of any form are not tolerated
• This list is non-exhaustive. ANY behaviour that is patently offensive is also forbidden.

5. The Child Safety Standards policy

Seriously the safety of children on our platform and is committed to working to keep our store free of child sexual abuse and exploitation. We require apps in the Social and Dating categories to comply with our Child Safety Standards policy. : We prohibit the use of apps to endanger children. This includes but is not limited to use of apps to promote predatory behaviour towards children, such as:

• Inappropriate interaction targeted at a child (for example, groping or caressing).
• Child grooming (for example, befriending a child online to facilitate, either online or offline, sexual contact and/or exchanging sexual imagery with that child).
• Sexualization of a minor (for example, imagery that depicts, encourages or promotes the sexual abuse of children or the portrayal of children in a manner that could result in the sexual exploitation of children).
• Sextortion (for example, threatening or blackmailing a child by using real or alleged access to a child’s intimate images).
• Trafficking of a child (for example, advertising or solicitation of a child for commercial sexual exploitation).
• We will take appropriate action, which may include reporting to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, if we become aware of content with child sexual abuse materials. If you believe a child is in danger of or has been subject to abuse, exploitation, or trafficking, please contact your local law enforcement and contact a child safety organization listed here

6. Do not post personal information.

Please respect the privacy of others. Do not give out or share ANYONE’S personal information such as names, phone numbers, addresses, email addresses, etc. This applies to your own information and that of other users.

7. Do not make non-constructive posts.

Below are examples of prohibited non-constructive posts:

• Spam – repetitive posting of the same topic or text or nonsensical posts that have no substance and are often designed to annoy other Community users. The solicitation or advertising of content or other goods, services, or other information not found or published on PetCity is considered “spam” and not allowed anywhere in our community.
• Advertising – PetCity prohibits posting of advertising links, images or content for the purpose of self-promotion. Creating profiles for the purpose of solicitation or advertising of content or any posts which could be interpreted as a solicitation are prohibited outside of their relevant Community.
• Threads that make threats or use other combative language. Threads that single out a user for ridicule.

8. NEVER impersonate another user,

You are prohibited from impersonating anyone else

8.1 Do not post sensitive or confidential information covered by a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) or as part of PetCity binding agreement.

Any information about PetCity or third party covered by an NDA or Onboarding Agreement that is posted will be removed. Posters of the information may be banned from all PetCity Services and may face legal action.

9. User Generated Content

You may post images on the Community as long as they are of an appropriate and non-offensive nature and do not otherwise infringe the intellectual property rights of any party.

The following images (or links pointing to such images) are examples of what may not be posted: any image which is sexually explicit, harmful, threatening, abusive, derogatory, defamatory, obscene, hateful, racially or ethnically offensive, contains profanity or depicts illegal activity.

Any image that is disruptive or, in PetCity’ sole discretion, appears to be in poor taste will be removed and your community account may be banned.

10. Zero Tolerance Policy

Immediate suspensions from the Community can result from any of the following: the posting of pornography; remarks which are sexually explicit, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, obscene, hateful, racially or ethnically offensive; or vulgar which discuss or illustrate illegal activity; provide links to sites that contain any of the aforementioned.

11. Copyright

12. Suspension and Termination

PetCity shall determine, in its sole discretion, whether there has been a breach of these

Community Policies and may take any action it deems appropriate.

                     Your use of the Community is conditioned upon your compliance with the Community Policies. Failure to comply with these Policies & Guidelines may result in PetCity taking any or all of the following actions:

• Remove any material or postings you have made to the Community;
• Issue a warning;
• Suspend or ban your PetCity account and/or your use of the Community;
• Disclose such information to law enforcement authorities as PetCity feels is reasonably necessary; and/or
• Pursue legal action against you.PetCity excludes all liability for: (a) any action taken in response to breaches of these Policies and Guidelines. The responses described in the Policies and Guidelines are not exhaustive, and PetCity may take any other action, in its sole discretion, it deems appropriate; (b) any loss or damage arising from the use of the Community by you; © any content posted or uploaded by users of the Community which shall include, without limitation, any liability for offensive and/or defamatory posts.

14. Changes to these Policies and Guidelines

PetCity may revise these Policies and Guidelines at any time by making changes to this page. You are expected to check this page from time to time to take notice of any changes PetCity makes, as they are legally binding on you. Please regularly check this Privacy Statement to ensure you are aware of the latest updates with respect to the same.
